FIRST EUCHARIST: Preparations for the reception of First Eucharist (First Holy Communion) are coordinated through the Faith Formation Office. Two consecutie years of our parish faith formation or a Catholic school program plus a First Sacrament preparation program are required for this sacrament. Children in second grade (age 7) and above are eligible to prepare for Reconciliation and Eucharist. If your child or teen missed receiving the sacraments, we have a variety of programs to meet the needs of various age groups.
CONFIRMATION: Confirmation is to help the youth participate in deepening a personal relationship with God, to develop sense of belonging in a living Christian community and to personally ratify membership in the Catholic Church. Preparations for Confirmation require two consecutive years of our Parish Program or a Catholic school program plus a Confirmation program. The Sacrament of Apostolic Ministry by which the mission entrusted by Christ to his Apostles continues to be exercised in the Church through the laying on of hands. This sacrament has three distinct degrees or "orders"; deacon, priest, and bishop. All three confer a permanent, sacramental character. Preparation for the reception of the Sacrament of First Reconciliation is conducted separately from that of First Eucharist, since each sacrament deserves its own concentrated preparation. Two consecutive years of our parish faith formation or a Catholic school program plus a First Sacrament preparation program during the same year as First Eucharist Preparation are required for this sacrament. First Reconciliation will be received before First Eucharist in the spring.

ANOINTING OF THE SICK: The church believes and confesses that among the seven sacraments there is one especially intended to strengthen those who are being tried by illness, the Anointing of the Sick: This sacred anointing of the sick was instituted by Christ our Lord as a true and proper sacrament of the New Testament. Anointing of the Sick is a sacrament of the Catholic Church that is administered to a Catholic "who, having reached the age of reason, begins to be in danger due to sickness or old age.
