Every Tuesday, volunteers prepare lunch for the needy and homeless. The line stretches from the Mision to two blocks down the street. On average 150 individuals receive a meal, and 100 families are given groceries to take home.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
If you have some free time
we are in great need of extra hands, whether at the Mision itself OR
at St. Mary's sorting donations.
Please call the Parish Office to volunteer.
The Mision is always in need of clothing and furniture. We request that these items be in good, usable condition.
The clothing may be left in the Screen Room behind the Parish Office building. HOWEVER, please do not put furniture in the screen room but CALL Ondina at the Mision, 910-3575, OR leave a message at the Parish Office, 961-1061,  and transportation will be arranged.
ALSO, please do not leave computer equipment in the Screen Room.

Our Mision Santa Maria is located at 14004 N. 15th Street in Tampa, an area referred to as the University Community. You are always welcome to stop by to attend Mass or anytime on a weekday. Mass on Sunday is at 11:00 a.m. (starting May 4th the Sunday Mass will be at 10:00 a.m.)
Next Sunday, April 6th, St. Mary Parish community will conduct its once a month food collection for the Mision (first Sunday of every month). On the back of this page is a list of needed items. We will appreciate your generosity.
There is a VERY REAL NEED for a regular food drive. Ondina Hernandez, the director of the mission, and her staff get some food donated on Mondays and distribute it on Tuesdays. It is very humbling and impressive to see this as the people who receive it are the poorest of the poor. We can help if we bring some basic items listed below. Hopefully, we can help provide them with some of the most basic things that we take for granted. It is our desire to do this collection of food items on the FIRST WEEKEND OF THE MONTH.   They are listed below. Sometimes we find "buy one, get one free" at the store; grab two, use one at home and bring one here. Thanks in advance for helping out.  Click here for a list you can print out and take to your pantry to select some items for the Mission.
