| 19 of 26. DOORS: Jesus said "I am the door" (John 10:7) The doors of St. Mary Catholic Church were installed in honor of the jubilee Year 2000.
Main Doors: As you enter the main doors of the Church you will observe the etched symbols of the mysteries we come to celebrate at Mass. One door shows wheat and from the wheat comes The Bread of Life (John 6) and the other shows grapes and from the grapes comes the Cup of Salvation. We offer to you, God of glory and majesty, this holy and perfect sacrifice: the bread of life and the cup of eternal salvation. (Eucharistic Prayer I). And by your Holy Spirit, gather all who share this one bread and one cup into the one body of Christ. (Eucharistic Prayer IV) |
